Eve
I almost feel guily loving it so much, because it seems like a betrayal of Evening, which is still my favourite right now. ;) But dude--listen to the sound of Eve. Three letters, and it packs a lot of punch. To be absolutely honest, I think that Eve is the sexiest sounding name I can think of. And despite that fact, it totally works on a child or a teenager. I'm just falling in love with Eve right now.So, the questions I have for you all:
1. What do you think of Eve?
2. Can you think of any combos I might like involving the name Eve? (At the moment, I favour it as a first name, but I think it'd be very nice as a middle name, too.)
3. These are some Eve combos I've thought of. Could you tell me what you think of them?Eve Lisette
Eve Clarisse
Eve Ingeborg
Eve Scholastica
Eve Magdalena
Eve Teresa
Eve Rae (I like choppy names--but does this cross the line into too choppy?)Oh, and yes, I would more than likely call her Evey. :) Just so we're all clear on that, lol. Thanks!Array

I like Eve a lot. The only Eve I've ever heard of though is Eve Plumb (and of course the biblical Eve). For that reason I think it is underused but it is lovely.

1. I LOVE Eve though I'd probably use Eva because my surname has one syllable (darn it!). Eve is so simple and straightforward yet elegant; you're right, it does pack a lot of punch into three letters.2. My favorite Eve combo (and I've given this much thought) is
Eve Marielle.3. My favorite of your combos is Eve Teresa. WDYT of Eve Therese?

I almost feel guily loving it so much, because it seems like a betrayal of Evening, which is still my favourite right now. ;) But dude--listen to the sound of Eve. Three letters, and it packs a lot of punch.I don't now why, but Eve doesn't sound like it has a lot of "punch" in it atall imo! When I hear Eve I see Christmas eve and/or a little girly girl with a pink dress and a barbie, sorry! I think Evening is much better, so much more "special" and Eve could even be a nn. Although I know you like the nn Evey.
To be absolutely honest, I think that Eve is the sexiest sounding name I can think of. And despite that fact, it totally works on a child or a teenager. I'm just falling in love with Eve right now.Yeah, it could be sexy, but so could many other names, including Evening. Ok, it does suit a child or teenager though.
So, the questions I have for you all:
1. What do you think of Eve?
2. Can you think of any combos I might like involving the name Eve? (At the moment, I favour it as a first name, but I think it'd be very nice as a middle name, too.)
3. These are some Eve combos I've thought of. Could you tell me what you think of them?
1. It's ok, but Evening is better.
2. Can't think of any right now, sorry. It would work in the middle name spot, but it would be very much a filler if you ask me.
3.
Eve Lisette - ok, so normal though
Eve Clarisse - se above, although I prefer Lisette just a tiny bit more
Eve Ingeborg - doesn't work to well imo.
Eve Scholastica - alright, I would even approve of it ;-)

I LOVE Eve, also with the nn Evey (but I spell it Evie, though I did love "V for Vendetta" as well :b). Eve Rae is slightly choppy but if you called her Evey Rae most of the time (or just Evey for that matter), I think it could work. Especially so if she had a long or hyphenated ln. But an Evey Rae and an Amy Rae in the same house might get confusing, lol. Of the others, I also love Eve Lisette and Eve Teresa.

I love Eve, Evie and Evening. all beautiful. with Evening you have the option of all three.here are a few combo ideas. like any?Eve Eeva: I've been liking repeating names like this lately.
Eve Ziva
Eve Aline
Eve Alina
Eve Magnolia
Magnolia Eve
Evening ZivEve Lisette, Eve Clarisse, Eve Ingeborg and Eve Teresa are not my style, but are balanced well. I do like the way Eve bounces off of Ingeborg. nice sounds.I like the way these two names, Eve Scholastica & Eve Magdalena, balance Eve, plus they look good. I also like Eve Rae. I thought about putting them together as in EveRae, but it looks like(ev-er-ee) which I think sounds nice too. Everie or Ever Rae are two spin-offs which I think sounds nice but may be geting too far from what you want.

Eve is a nice name.Eve Lisette - Pretty.
Eve Clarisse - Pretty.
Eve Ingeborg - NMS.
Eve Scholastica - This combo flows nicely, but Scholastica is a bit much for me.
Eve Magdalena - Lovely. I like this combo the best.
Eve Teresa - Nice.
Eve Rae - Eve and Rae are both nice names, but the combo is overly choppy. How about Eve Lisette Rae? More ideas:
Eve Camellia
Eve Susannah

Eve Constantia
Eve Roberta

1. What do you think of Eve?
It has taken me quite a while to like this for a little girl because I always thought it was too sexy. But not I really do like it though I think I'll always prefer Eve and Evie / Evey as NNs for Evelyn, Evangeline, etc. And I';; always prefer Eva / Aoife as a first name. But all in all I really think it's very pretty and it would deffinately work on a little girl (especially when she's called Evey) and for a teenager-woman I think it will give her a sexy edge.2. Can you think of any combos I might like involving the name Eve? It would make a nice MN too! :)Lila Eve
Georgia Eve
Catherine Eve
Coretta Eve
Natalia Eve
Amy Eve
Amelia Eve
Scarlett Eve
Caroline EveEve Louisa

Thanks for the ideas! I really like:Coretta Eve (I'm thinking Eve Coretta, since the A/E sounds in the center meld together)
Amy Eve (but wouldn't that be awkward, Amy Rae and Amy Eve? ;)
Eve Louisa
Eve LucilleArray

Yes, I think Eve is very nice and seriously underused. I've known only one Eve, and it was short for Evangelina, a rather frilly name if you ask me.You're absolutely right about those three little letters being powerful. Did you ever see "All About Eve?"It's great for a child or teen, but I can see it working all the way through to old age too.Succinct, punchy, sexy -- it's got it all. A "serious" name with a bit of an edge.Your combos aren't really my style, but I'm not good at combos so I won't offer any suggestions.

I have not seen All About Eve, but I know its basic storyline, and it's definitely adding to the "Wow!" for me. So does the The Three Faces of Eve association, though that's not quite so cheerful. Thanks for the comments--even if I've failed to get you with any of my combos, I love to hear peoples' associations and thoughts on name. :DArray

I love it. I don't think I'm a fan of your combinations though. But I've never been good with middle names.

Eve is definitely a simple and beautiful classic.

Eve Lisette - So pretty! Beautiful combo.
Eve Clarisse - Nice, but it's a lot of "ee".
Eve Ingeborg - Nms, I'm afraid.
Eve Scholastica - Pretty, and Scholastica Eve sounds nice, too.
Eve Magdalena - Beautiful... probably my favorte combo of this list.
Eve Teresa - I prefer Theresa, but it's still cute.
Eve Rae - It kind of sounds like it should be one word, like "Eevray". I like Eve Rachel, though.
People, in general, would rather die than forgive. It's that hard. If God said in plain language, "I'm giving you a choice, forgive or die," a lot of people would just go ahead and order their coffin.

I like Eve.Eve Lisette - lovely! Eve Linnet / Eve Lynette / Eve Liselle would also work
Eve Clarisse - I don't like the repeated EE sound in this, but Eve Clarissa would work
Eve Ingeborg - not really my thing, but Eve Ingrid or Eve Sigrid would work
Eve Scholastica - nice!
Eve Magdalena - also very nice
Eve Teresa - depends on the pronunciation of Teresa. EEV teh-REE-suh doesn't work, but EEV teh-RAY-suh is fine.
Eve Rae - yup, it's too choppy! What about Eve Amaryllis?

Eve Ingeborg - not really my thing, but Eve Ingrid or Eve Sigrid would workMmm, but those aren't family names, y'see. ;) Ingeborg was one of my first ancestors to come to America from Norway--and my great-grandmother (whom I loved very much) was named for her (though she went by one of her middle names, Hazel). So Ingeborg would be in honour of them.Eve Teresa - depends on the pronunciation of Teresa. EEV teh-REE-suh doesn't work, but EEV teh-RAY-suh is fineIt'd be ter-EE-suh, for my mum. I like Eve Amaryllis--it looks really nicely balanced! :)Array
