I know what you mean. Bertha in English falls flat, but BEHR-ta is gorgeous, to me at least. If you don't think that pronunciation would be a daily hassle, then yes, Erna (EHR-na) sounds gorgeous.Erna Charlotte (shar-LOT-eh)
