It's fresh these days, as it's been out of the top 100 in most countries for a long time. It has a lovely Victorian charm like a lot of the other names that are becoming popular at the moment (Violet, Ada, Rose etc). If I wasn't set on using Jean for a daughter after my grandmother, Jane would definitely be on my list.
Jayne isn't a spelling I'm fond of, although it's the name of a relative of mine who I like, so I don't mind it for that reason.
By the way, it's considered 'bad form' to just randomly bash names on this board. I'm not telling you to do anything, but you might want to consider a more polite way to find out peoples' opinions in the future.
