Allison
What's your opinion on Allison as a baby name? Our last name is Walter.I'm wondering if it will quickly seem dated in the future....it seems like all of the baby names I'm hearing lately either end in "ah" or "ia" (emma, ava, anna, sarah, sophia, julia, etc.) or "ee" ....(emily, natalie, etc.).. Might be a crazy question but was just curious.

Allison is fine, but I myself wouldn't use it. It does sound good with your last name and I don't think it will become dated.

I love Allison, and I always have. I liked it as a child, and ever since I saw 'Cry-Baby' for the first time a little over 2 years ago, I've fallen in love with it. I don't think it would be too dated at all. I especially like the nn Allie or Ally btw."I've always liked everybody. I'm not sure everybody likes me."-Johnny DeppI don't see no shine,

I kind of feel the same way about Allison that I do about Kathleen, Charlotte, Bridget, and a number of other names: it's very nice, a respectable name that I can't see anything wrong with, and I totally wouldn't mind it on someone else's child. But for myself personally it doesn't mean fireworks or whatnot; I don't particularly get excited about it. All in all I'd call it a good name and I don't think it will sound dated.

I love Allison (and prefer this spelling; I also like Allyson). It goes nicely with Walter. It's pretty without being too frilly. ;-]

I prefer Alison. It's a nice name that will age well, and the sound is pretty. Allison/Alison Walter has nice enough flow for a fn/ln combination.--

I think Allison is a very nice name.
but only when paired with a nice middle name, not something dull.and for it seeming dated, I don't think so.
