100 % feminine : ). Also, Lee should NEVER be used on a girl...imho of course!

I consider Leigh feminine and Lee masculine, though with either spelling and on either gender I think it's the most boring, nondescript, faceless name out there.

I used to know a baby boy (he'll be about 8 no w:-/) named Leigh, and we always called him Baby Leigh. He was a neighbour. His grandmother or someone once said to me, "Leigh is Leigh spelled L-E-I-G-H. It's his daddy's name and the Irish form of James." Goodness knows where she got that from, but I do like the name on a boy. It's usually a filler-ish girls' mn, and not my style. I dislike Lee altogether, and it's quite neddy where I live.

Although I have seen and heard of both male and female Leighs/Lees, I think of the spelling Leigh as a girls name.

Masculine, eventough I think spelled Leigh is the feminine version of the male version Lee..

masculine if it's spelled Lee
feminine if it's spelled Leigh
I think it goes either way, but it's usually a mn when I hear it.

I see it as a masculine name, with Leigh as the feminine spelling, like Ashleigh is a more feminine spelling of the masculine name Ashley.

Like Lee, it's unisex. The spelling Leigh seems to me to be a modern choice, though, to elaborate Lee into something prettier for girls. - chazda

I see it as a unisex name based on a surname. I don't like it on a girl, though.
