Re: Chase on a girl?
I don't care for it. But I also dislike the name on a boy. It always sounds like a command to me. Chase Mackenzie. Why is Mackenzie running away? One of the female designers on Trading Spaces a few years ago was named Chase. And she was in her late 20s or so, so unless she changed her name later, her parents were way ahead of the times. I grew up with a girl named Tyler. We're in our early 30s now. Back when we were kids, Tyler was unheard of, even for boys. So it seemed weird because it was weird. Not because it was a boy's name. I wonder if that was true for Trading Spaces Chase too.

The designer's full name is Chayse Dacoda, and I think that's extremely unlikely to be the name she was born with. I can't find any reference to Dacoda as anyone's surname on Google except for this woman. I think she created "Chayse Dacoda" as a "designer" name to go along with her public persona.
