Re: Inspired by Elemmennope's post below
Well, there's plain old Ing, which is pretty cool.Spring, Sterling, Kipling, and Harding are all in the database, among others. I have to admit I like the sound of Burning, though it's not exactly the most useable of names! It reminds me of "A Church is Burning" by Simon and Garfunkel, whose chorus goes like this:A church is burning
The flames rise higher
Like hands that are praying a-glow in the sky
Like hands that are praying the fire is saying,
“You can burn down my churches but I shall be free”.
It's triumph in adversity--but no one else would see that in the name but me.I also rather like the sound of Turning for similar reasons. I'm hearing "Canticle of the Turning," one of my favourite church songs. The chorus to that:My heart shall sing
Of the day you bring
Let the fires of your justice burn
Wipe away all tears
For the dawn draws near
And the world is about to turn
I can't think of any other brilliant ones off the top of my head, I'm afraid. I'll work on it, though.Array

...And then he said, "You're independent, aren't you?"
"Yes," said Laura.A revolution without dancing is a revolution not worth having.

There are also Evening and Morning, darlinRemember? :-)Spring, Sterling, Kipling and Harding are all cool. I was really thinking more of verbs, though. Burning, as you said, sounds cool but is probably not usable IRL. Turning is a good possibility.~Lillian~

I don't think well on summer afternoons, I'm afraid. Besides, Morning and Evening aren't verbs. ;)I did remember that another I like is Raining. I'll keep working on more.Array

Raining! Good one!And yeah, I know, but I mentioned Evening and Morning because it's you, :-) , and you mentioned Spring, etc, but not your own favorites, which struck me as funny.~Lillian~

Ah, but we're always oblivious to the things in front of us. It's why my sister can always find my Easter basket but I can't. ;DThoughts that I've had since then. Not necessarily as serious as Raining as far as suggestions go. ;)Lightening (and her twin brother, Darkening)
Yearning (and thus Yearling, though it's not a verb)
Learning (what life is for, CSNY and Joni Mitchell have taught me)
Trekking (walking-related words sound cool I think)
Walking
Hiking (I'd suggest Journeying, but that looks so awkward)
Glowing
Dreaming
Knowing
Snowing (I like Snowbird for a girl in theory, so Snowing can't be all that much of a stretch ;)
Sailing (If Sailor works...)
Blessing
Lacing
Dancing
Twirling
Whirling
Creeping
Whispering
Sallying (Sallying Anne Deville--can't you see it? ;D)
Hoping
Being
Building
RingingArray

Beingis a good one, I think of it in the sense of "being in the moment," but even as I thought that thought, the obvious verbal tease would be "Human Being nyah-nyah-nyah" you get the picture. But I still like it!~Lillian~
