Honestly, it's too surnamey for me to like on either a boy or a girl. That being said, if a parent is going to use it on a child, I'd personally rather see it a). as a mn and b). on a boy (esp. if used as a fn).

My friend Corey's little sister's name is Mason with the nn Masie. I really don't like it though...I like Masie or Maisie.

I agree with Array... Macey or Macy is a nice alternative. You may even like Maisie?

What about Macey? That at least has some femininity to it--and it's pretty snappy, too. It doesn't drag at the end the way Mason does.
