A friend of mine goes by Andie, as a nick name for Andrea. I think it's kind of cute, very lively and peppy (the Andie I know is a cheerleader), but ultimately not my style - a tad too "boyish" for my taste.

As an aside, I think Miranda is a gorgeous name - I wouldn't even dream of shortening it. :)
