Margaret is a family name on my dad's side. It is my grandmother's fn and my great-grandmother's fn.
My grandmother goes by
Marge, which I think is terribly boring and old-ladyish. Lately I've been thinking about
Margaret nn
Margie, because I associate
Margie with one of my favorite books, The Dangerous Lives of Altar Boys by
Chris Fuhrman. I don't really like
Margaret, but I do like the nn
Margie. Even so, I'd like to use
Margaret to honor my great-grandmother. Wdyt? Is
Margie old-ladyish or boring? What interesting mns could I use to spice up the fn
Margaret?
Edit: I'm not a big fan of the name
Maggie. I guess I should've said that earlier.
