Kit
Okay. A Katherine question.
Usually, I prefer the nn Kate for Katherine names but lately I'm loving Kit. Only as a nn for Katherine, however.
Wdyt of Kit? Your impressions of a girl named Kit? As a nn or full fn? Can it only be short for Katherine? I've heard of Katherines nn Kit, Katherins nn Kitty and a Catherine nn Kitty (Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice)
Eh, I'm weird with Katherine and its varients. For now I like Kathleen nn Kate, or Katarina nn Kate. Catherine nn Cate or Katherine nn Kit...:P But back to the original question...wdyt Kit?

Thanks for your opninions :)
My favourite nicknames for Katharine are Kitty, Kitsie, and Kathy, personally. I'd love to meet a Katharine nn Kit, though my favourite one-syllable Katharine nn is Kix. :D
I really can't stand Kate. It's like, been there, done that, bored now. Same with Katie--it reminds me of my cousin, who is currently orange. (Despite the fact that getting there is utterly unsafe, she goes tanning one-plus times a week. She is gonna be so fried when she's 30.)

ETA: I, like Bear, also like Kit as a nn for Christopher--but I'm pretty sure he'd survive in my area. I also love Christopher nn Kip. :D
...And then he said, "You're independent, aren't you?"
"Yes," said Laura.
A revolution without dancing is a revolution not worth having.

I think it's sweet. I also like Kat as a nn.
I even like it as a (traditional) nn for Christopher, but I know a male Kit will never go over well in the US (where I live) anymore.

tbh i think it is awful.
Yeah, I agree with the adult name thing. There is an adult character on a show I watch, Home & Away (Aussie drama). She has spunk, real personality.
Don't worry, I would NEVER name my child just Kitty. I probably wouldn't even use Kitty as a nn, unless she really wanted me too, lol.
Thanks for your opinion.

Oops, it should say 'adult character named Kit' :)
