Doesn't bother me in the slightest, personally. My grandparents had Mary, Michael, and Thomas, and Uncle Tom's certainly not scarred for life. I don't see why it'd be a problem, and I think that any child who felt slighted by having a different initial would have some bigger issues that needed dealing with, heh.
I like a lot of L names, so I know the feeling, heh. Imagine: Lalena, Lyle, Lemuel, Luella, Leopold, Lucasta, Lorenz, Lazarus, Lenore, Luna, etc. ;)
