Alexina
Thanks to Array, I discovered this name (she posted it in response to an earlier thread). WDYT of Alexina? Would you prefer it as a mn or fn? Could you please suggest some combos with Alexina in them? Thanks in advance :)

WDYF of Axelina?Axelina is of course the female form of Axel. She would probably be nn Lina.I think Alexina is a fresh alternativa to other Alex-names.I like Alexina Fleur or Alexina May."You may give them your love but not your thoughts. For they have their own thoughts.
You may house their bodies but not their souls,
For their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams."

YES!I've been trying to convert everyone to Alexina for a while. I find so much more refreshing than Alexandra-Alexandria-Alexa-Alexia-etc. You're the first person to bite, that I know of. (Now, to get someone else hooked on Darina! I'm trying to get other people to use them, because while I love them, I don't love them enough to consider seriously.)Names off the top of my head:Alexina Jane
Alexina Scarlett
Alexina Primrose
Alexina Xanthe
Alexina Isobel
Alexina Elenore
Alexina Fleur
Alexina Melody
Alexina Clancy
Alexina Clare
Alexina Bridget
Alexina Quinn
Alexina Laurel
Alexina Penelope
Alexina Violet
Alexina Eulalie
Alexina Jasmine
Alexina Chloe (huh? huh? huh? :D)Array

...And then he said, "You're independent, aren't you?"
"Yes," said Laura.A revolution without dancing is a revolution not worth having.

Alexina, yes, Darina, no. I have a "thing" about "D" names, for some reason.
Alexina Isobel
Alexina Fleur
Alexina Bridget
Alexina Quinn
Alexina Chloe (huh? huh? huh? :D)
Those are all great, and the Chloe comment made me laugh out loud. Thanks :)

Alexina is a great name! I remember reading about awhile back, but I had forgotten about it. It's beautiful, I'm so glad you mentioned it again. For some reason, I really like Alexina Florence, it sounds really strong to me.
I also like, right off the top of my head:
Alexina Lorelei
Alexina Scarlett
Alexina Joy
Alexina Raven (I don't know where I got that, I don't usually like Raven...)Love is the lord of the house within him and rules all the concerns of his soul- Plato

As strange as this may seem to most people, I actually have never liked any Alex- names at all, male or female. That being said, I do think that Alexina is a fresh alternative to other Alex- names. And I happen to be quite fond of many names with the -ina ending.

I like this better than Alexandra, But I still like Alexandria better. Alexina is unique but still classic. I like it. L'Eau Qui Pleure
