Candace isn't very pretty, and Candy sounds too sweet. I think it could come back in 20 years or so, but I'm not very confident. I think there are better candidates for a resurgence (in the US): Mariel, Lucinda, Betty, Charlene, Melinda, Diane, Maybelle, Leanne, Belinda, or anything else.

It's very southern, classy to me. I can hear someone saying: "My aunt Candace bakes the best pies"
It might be biased. There's Candace from Phinneas and Ferb, and then there's Candace Owens. I have no other associations.
