Jesse
Jesse is the name of the day and I have a relation called Jesse James. My Jesse James was born a year after the outlaw died. I also have a Jesse Nehemiah who was born less than 10 years after Jesse James. I love the name Jesse for a boy but I think it has probably been too taken over by girls now as Jessie. WDYT of Jesse?Don’t take criticism from someone you wouldn’t take advice from

I know a Jesse James too (first/middle name)Jesse is a fun, playful name. I don’t think it has been overtaken as girls name at all. I know more male Jesse’s than female Jessie’s!
Aside from the song Jessie's Girl I've only ever seen boy Jesses and girl Jessies. Personally if I had to use one I'd use Jessie on a girl, but Jesse for boys is definitely still around. Jessie is almost always short for Jessica and the Jessica craze is over. I know Jesse comes from an old Hebrew name but it sounds extremely modern to me. I picture some kind of athlete / sporty person.
I like Jesse for a boy. I went to high school with one, during the era of Jessica being the #2 name for girls, and he never had any issues that I know of. I think it would be fine for a boy nowadays, very refreshing.
I'm actually related to the real Jesse James, on my Maternal Grandfather's side! Anyway, my grandfather was called Jesse (I don't believe it was after James, but Jesse in the Bible); my brother's middle name is also Jesse. I think it's a fairly handsome, natural-sounding name. If Jesse is spelled this way, he shouldn't be teased. Though, I did call my brother "Jessie the Cowgirl" as comeback for (always) poking fun at my name, lol.
Love Jesse for a boy. I've only known one.
I've never met a Jesse, or heard of one locally. It's not a name I like: sounds exactly like Jessie (short for Jessica) and could be confusing.
I like it
