Diminutives for August
Is Augie a good diminutive of August, or not?

Replies

It's fine, and a lot better than Gus. I prefer it without a nickname though.
Augie feels very British posh, so it's pretty funny to me (a non Brit). I rather like it for that. It's exotic!
I think Augie sounds thoroughly unattractive. I'd even prefer Gus, and that's saying something!
I think all nicknames for August are unattractive, unfortunately. That's one of the reasons I don't like the name as much as I might have.
I don't really like it
It’s a cute and a pretty classic nn for August (though I personally don’t like it). I prefer Gus, which I think is very handsome, or Aussie, which is cute like Augie but nicer sounding imo.
Yes.
It's the only good diminutive of August.
It doesn't seem like it'd be cool but IRL I think it is.
It's kind of cute. I like it way more than Gus.
Augie is a good nickname.
Yeah, I think so. I've heard of some Augusts called Gus as well
