Ian or Graham?
Husband and I were talking about hypothetical children and were debating name order. Graham, Ian and Russell were being talked about. All are family names and important to us. If you had to use them what would you use as a first name and what would you use as the two middle names?

I would pick Ian or Russell. I think Russell is better as a middle name.
Ian Russell Martin
Ian Russell Gawain
Ian Russell Lucian
Ian Russell Conley
Ian Russell Martin
Ian Russell Gawain
Ian Russell Lucian
Ian Russell Conley
Graham is my favorite.
I love Ian!

Graham! It’s warm and affable. Ian is harsh and vain.
It depends on how you pronounce Graham (one or two syllables)?
If two syllables, Graham Russell Ian.
If one syllable, Russell Ian Graham.
If two syllables, Graham Russell Ian.
If one syllable, Russell Ian Graham.
I’m in Scotland so Graham is pronounced with two syllables.
Two is preferable to one
(Gray-um vs. Gram). Yeah for Scotland! 🏴

My two dearest male friends are both Ian, and each has (or had - both deceased) a brother Graham. I'd go for Graham Russell Ian, for euphony and to reduce by one the number of Ians in my life (there are also two more ...).
