I also perceive Natalie as perpetually youthful! Must be that new-born feeling. Margaret and Natalie have very different vibes: Margaret with all the glamour and danger of medieval Scottish royalty, and Natalie so soft and gentle that it's hardly there.
I like Margaret a lot. It's the nicknames that put me off. Maggie is trite, Peggy is usable as a full name nowadays more than as a nn, Megan has destroyed itself in a wave of popularity and spelling and pronunciation errors, and the standard nn here in South Africa is Margie, where the g sounds like a g, not a j. My cousin Margaret never had a nickname at all, I don't know why, but I respect her for it.
