I know the time frame my Italian great great grandparents were born, but I couldn’t find reliable data from Italy at that time. Same with the Czech Republic, Ireland, and Romania. For that reason, I’ll only go back to my great grandmothers.

The same thing happened to me - i prefer more names the farther back in time I go. I guess because the names from my and my mom's generation are pretty boring and tired for me.

My country doesn't keep stats, but I've looked at the England and Wales lists for 1875, 1900, 1925 and 1950: very interesting! I've put an asterisk* next to names used in my family, and I've only considered names that, to me, could be fns. That eliminates Elizabeth, for one. And, no repeats.
