Re: Lola

I have two associations with Lola, both of them very good.
First, a friend's family dog was named Lola. She was given to Friend's mother for Christmas, and because she was a black spaniel with long ears, she made her new owner think of a Spanish dancer. Hence, Lola! She was a dear little dog.
And second, what else but the Kinks and their wonderful song about a sweet transvestite named Lola, who walked like a woman and talked like a man.
Neither would make me choose Lola for a female human baby, but I do enjoy them.
