Starla And Twyla
How do you feel about the names Starla and Twyla?

Replies

I like Starla but I don’t care for Twyla at all. Twyla has a bit of a red neck image in my opinion. Starla is a nice alternative to Star or Starr.
I want to like Starla and Twyla, but I dislike them both quite a bit.
I prefer Starla to Twyla.
I kind of like Starla but I wouldn’t use it. I also like Twyla but I wouldn’t use it. It sounds like a black cat name.
Starla is my own name. My mother thinks she may have heard it on TV but can't remember where. It could be a lot worse.
It could be Twyla. I hate the name Twyla. It sounds like some big fat redneck woman with bad teeth monopolizing the buffet at Golden Corral and getting into public fistfights.
I LOVE Twyla/Twila! I also enjoy Starla, but not as much.
There was a girl in my school who had a sister called Twila, and I remember thinking they had SUCH cool names. Kezia and Twila. It was an incredible find back then. Twyla gives me some youthful nostalgia, I like it a lot. Starla is really fun. It's iridescent in a perfectly loud, American way, which gives it a kind of iconic energy.
Not my top names, but I really like both. I'd love to see them more often. Starla is warm and playful while Twyla is more mysterious. The spelling Twila feels more natural to me. I noticed one of the users is named Starla Roxanne which is so cool! Love the combo.
They both have a twangy Southern vibe, except Twyla leans more boho/hippie.
Twyla reminds me more of stars and space (and 'twilight') than Starla, funnily enough, and I find that appealing. But I can only really picture Twyla on a cat.
Starla is alright, but I prefer Star. As for Twyla, I find it enchanting along with Twila.
Don't really like either
I feel mild repulsion. They both look made-up.
