Re: What are some girl names that you don't like or don't see the appeal of?

I like Alexandra but only as a middle name for the reason you described.
Eleanor, it just feels so old ladyish and lifeless. I want to like it because e is my favorite girl initial but I just can't find it in me too. That's interesting given that I still like plenty of other El names. Eleanor just feels just one single slot above Eula, Beulah, and Bertha to me., and not by much.
I also don't like Evelyn, also surprising because Evangeline and Eva are my favorite names. But to me, Evelyn is forever "Evil-Lynn"
Keri / Carrie. One of my worst childhood bullies growing up that started out as a friend that horribly betrayed me. School growing up was already pretty bad for my home life but she spreaded the most wicked and heinous lies about me imaginable through school. All because I confronted her about talking badly about me behind my back. Not to mention her extensive religious hypocrisy and consistent insistence that she was a "good Christian girl." I can't hear the name Carrie anymore without immediately thinking of Keri and what a horribly person she is and how much she hurt me almost on par with my familial abusers.
Another that comes to mind is Wyatt. At least 3 girls I knew growing up have named a son this, but I don't see the appeal at all. It makes me think of a southern American, bit very specifically, an accutly racist snd sexist southern american... it's just not particularly attractive to me.
Miscellaneous other names that are popular that I don't understand the appeal of: Cooper (is he named after a dog?), Nolan, Waylon (somehow worse than Wyatt, why did you name him after the sound of wailing?), Jaxon, Jaxson, Colton, Jameson (screams I'm a wannabe hipster but not really in actuality), Cayden / Kayden,Keegan, Tegan, Hunter ( bad on a boy, ugly on a girl), Hayden (ditto), Braxton ( why would you name your son after false labor pains??), Camden, Stetson, (my step cousin's son's name, I hate it), Harper (Gross), Abigail, Paisley, Payton, Kinsley, Ellis, Everly, Raelynn, Rylee, Nevaeh, Hadley, Piper, Emersyn, Everleigh, Sloane, Oakley, Blakely, Oaklynn, Wrenley, Journee,
So help me if I'm ever in a coma and someone on here had to name a baby for me.. do not use any of these names!!! 馃珷馃珷馃珷
Please rate my "Names I would Use" list & "Backup Favorites" list. Feel free to rate some of my other lists too if you have the time.
