What are some girl names that you don't like or don't see the appeal of?
Alexandra: Clunky and gets reduced down to less attractive variants such as Alex, Allie and Lexi
Morgan: Very unpleasant sounding name and the word "organ" sticks out like a sore thumb
Violet: Too close to the word "violent"
Madison: Masculine, bland, and "Maddie" is one of the worst nicknames possible
Harper: Harsh sounding
Paisley: Doesn't even sound like a name

Charlotte - I just...don't get it. The sound is unappealing when I say it out loud, and it comes off a little mushy due to the name's letter structure. Plus I can't stand 'Charlie' used as a feminine name, and Charlotte often gets reduced to this.
Poppy - Years ago when I first heard this used as a name, I was actually quite taken with its freshness and brightness. But as I came to find recently due to my niece having a friend named this, the novelty gets old FAST. It gets worse the longer you say or hear it.
Ingrid - Too aggressive and heavy.
Phyllis - I love old-timey, classic names, even the ones that sound old-ladyish and matronly, but this one takes it to another level. I can't find a single redeeming factor for this one, it's not an appealing or pretty sound at all.
Lauren - My number one for dullest name of all time. It's so uninspired and mundane that it feels like a placeholder until you find something better.

I'll also throw in my two cents as a substance abuse treatment provider as one of my degrees... Poppy always has negative connotations for me because of the connection to opioids: oxycodone, hydrocodone, Fentanyl, morphine, Codeine, of course there is heroin..
And even if I could totally divorce from that knowledge, which would be hard, Poppy just feels so lifeless and vapid to me. I can kind of imagine it on a farm animal or a cat, but that's about it..and even in that case I would probably use Posey first before Poppy.

I like Alexandra but only as a middle name for the reason you described.
Eleanor, it just feels so old ladyish and lifeless. I want to like it because e is my favorite girl initial but I just can't find it in me too. That's interesting given that I still like plenty of other El names. Eleanor just feels just one single slot above Eula, Beulah, and Bertha to me., and not by much.
I also don't like Evelyn, also surprising because Evangeline and Eva are my favorite names. But to me, Evelyn is forever "Evil-Lynn"
Keri / Carrie. One of my worst childhood bullies growing up that started out as a friend that horribly betrayed me. School growing up was already pretty bad for my home life but she spreaded the most wicked and heinous lies about me imaginable through school. All because I confronted her about talking badly about me behind my back. Not to mention her extensive religious hypocrisy and consistent insistence that she was a "good Christian girl." I can't hear the name Carrie anymore without immediately thinking of Keri and what a horribly person she is and how much she hurt me almost on par with my familial abusers.
Another that comes to mind is Wyatt. At least 3 girls I knew growing up have named a son this, but I don't see the appeal at all. It makes me think of a southern American, bit very specifically, an accutly racist snd sexist southern american... it's just not particularly attractive to me.
Miscellaneous other names that are popular that I don't understand the appeal of: Cooper

I never really like A names I always confuse them. Are you Alex Alicia Alisha Allison whatever. Elaine, Gail. Many many names I just don't enjoy.
I have to agree with you on Harper, Paisley, and Madison (even though Madison isn't the worst name in my opinion, and I think it's kind of pretty...I just hate the "son" part of the name very much!)
I dislike somewhat popular male names on girls, like James (fine on a boy), Logan (fine on a boy), Dylan (fine on a boy), Tyler (fine on a boy), Evan (fine on a boy), Blake (fine on a boy), Emerson, Payton, and I hate the name Alex (both as a standalone or nickname) on a girl.
I also dislike the names Egbertine, Egberta, Copeland, and Brettany. I can totally think of more, but that's all I can come up with right now (I might come back later and edit my listings).
ETA: I can't believe that I forgot some of my most LOATHED names; they are Abcde (like seriously, I will never get over this name), L-a, Dumplin, Apple, Peaches, Oakley (all spelling variants), Braxlee (all spelling variants), Braxlyn, Piper, Clementine, Kinsley, Phillippa (all spellings), and that's all I can think of again.
