I remember about 3 years ago i suggested the same Salacia for one of my characters and it didn't go well. Looking back in retrospect i see why. I pronounced it differently than the average person would inside of my head, so j thought it was pretty, but not practical for a child. Id do Salacia Helen.

If it was two thousand years ago in Rome, I would find it quite lovely. I don’t like it in a modern day setting.

As a Roman name, it's fine. I wasn't aware of the word 'salacious', though, which somewhat lessens the name's appeal, but I like the history behind it.

maybe i just have a limited vocabulary bc i didnt think of the word salacious. i think it's pretty, and technically the Latin pronunciation is sa-LA-kee-a but most people probly wouldnt say it like that
