As a full name I'd prefer it to be spelled Elli, like the character from Norse mythology. That makes more sense to me than Ellie. Normally I don't go for names ending in i, but for some reason Elli works. Go figure!

I would have hated to be an Ellie with no full name, growing up. I'll just say that. It's a bit simplistic and infantile for me, personally.
