Maybe it's an oversaturation of a group of similar names - Ella, Emma, Isabella, Isabelle, and Emily. When you compare Ella and Emma, you'll see that their rise and fall patterns are very similar although Ella has shadowed Emma's popularity. Olivia, Ava, and Sophia don't have as many similar names, so they don't have as much competition.
