My favourite flower is the dicentra (or bleeding heart), which is also coined as a very rare name, but I wouldn't use it for being too whimsical, no matter the context.

Instead, I would use Iris in a heartbeat - it has been in my top 10 for a while and it's not too popular. There's also the Greek goddess.

I love that you added a picture! They are beautiful and so unusual. Dicentra sounds like the name a Roman Goddess, it’s actually quite pretty.

I agree - it sounds like it belongs in Roman mythology.

I have a vase full of irises in front of me as I write this :) They remind me of the Vincent van Gogh painting (although mine are purple)
Lovely painting! This is the first time I see it. I'm used to Van Gogh's Sunflowers series.
