If.. (Name Change)
.. for some reason or another you had to change your first name which names would you choose and what’s the reasoning behind it? For example is it your favourite girls name, book character or suits your personality best?

I changed my name in 1981 because I never liked it. I renamed myself 'Agnetha' after Agnetha Faltskog from Abba as I like her.
Probably Alice (more than Marie), or Marie or something. What's really funny to me is that I used to hate both of those names, but they're two of my favorite girls names now. They're just sweet and short and have meaning to my life. After that I'd go for something like Millicent, or Dallas, or Rowan. I love Millicent. It has all the same qualities that I like in Margaret (one of my favorite names - I've always just gravitated towards it), without feeling stuffy (at least to me). Plus Millie is a cute enough nickname. I like how Dallas and Rowan are a little less feminine and I like all three of their vibes. After that I'd pick out some masculine names probably - Judah, Neil, etc... Other names I'd like such as Caleb or Gabriel or Reuben or Elliot I think would be shortened to Cayla, or Gabby or Ruby, or Ellie, which I'm not sure I'd be as keen on. Maybe Reuben & Ruby. I think I like that one, actually
So my list is:
1. Alice
2. Millicent
3. Rowan
4. Dallas
5. Judah
6. Neil
7. Reuben
8. Marie
9. Gabriel
10. Elliot
11. Caleb (I think people would think I was saying Kayla :/)
If I had to change my first name, I would choose something a bit more exotic or unusual. Something like Ariadne would fit the bill. People may not remember my face but my new name would be memorable.
AnastasiaAnya” or Annalisa, they’re names I really love and I think suit me
My first name would be Hannah or Rachel. Hannah was the name I gave one of my dolls as a girl and Rachel is what I end up answering to when people forget my name.
I think the names Rosalba & Rosemarie suit me and are names my mum and nan (keen gardeners) will like :)
I would just switch my first and middle names around. If that isn't an option I would be Catherine I think.
Either Cedric or Dorian. There isn't a personal reason, I just think they're cool, nerdy names which could suit my personality.
My friends and I determined Claira would fit my personality best (yes, that spelling; Clara felt wrong). However, Claira would sound atrocious with my last name, so I'd have to change my last name too.If I wanted to keep my last name, I'd go with Melody. It's my favorite name of all time + I'm a singer, so it suits my personality perfectly. It also flows well with my last name. I might use the spelling Melodie because it's more unique and I think it's cute.
Probably I'll pick either Ruslana or Eleonora. Ruslana because it's similar to my name which honours my Grandad, it's really rare and because my favourite singer has the same name. And Eleonora because it can honour my brother's middle name Leo.
If I HAD to pick another new name, I'd pick Ruby. I love that name, I've loved it since I was 15, faithfully. It wouldn't suit me (I didn't pick it when I changed my name because I knew I couldn't pull it off), but I just love it. It's so bright, fun, and jazzy, and I love the symbolism of rubies, how it represents courage, life, and passion. If I'd had a daughter I'd have called her Ruby (or at the very least it would have been in the top running).
My mn comes from my father's side of the family, but there's nothing from the other side. Many are not suitable - who'd choose to be Christiana, Muriel or Nellie? - but others are. I think that what I'd like, now they are both deceased, would be my father's name, feminised, and my mother's only name.
Which would make me Cecily Beatrice. I'd retain my mn, which is generic as well as being a family name, so: Cecily Beatrice Anne. I find it pleasing. The only family name I regret having to leave out is Dinah, which I find delightful!
My real name: Ji-eun - my favorite Korean name
My English name: Shannon - It's my favorite English name and I feel it suits me well.
