Levana
What are your thoughts on the name Levana? I'd been planning on using it for the main protagonist of a comic series but I'm not entirely sold on it for some reason. She's 28 years old and British/French and her surname is either Arcand or Attias (I haven't decided which yet), and the story is set in modern day. I'd like her name to be a little mysterious and begin with L, but A or U names would be suitable alternatives, she has traits and abilities based on the moon so a name that is linked to a lunar meaning without being obvious (e.g. Luna) would be a bonus.
Some other names I've been considering are:
Aleah
Lacey
Leida
Liana
Luana
Lydia/Lydie
Una
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated 😊

Levana is a great name! I think it gives off a mysterious vibe and is very unique
I love this name because it means "White" or "Moon" in Hebrew. I would interpret the meaning as "White as the moon". (If you want to make it sound pretty) so I would suggest that you want to go with this name to give her a suitable appearance but again these are my thoughts as a Hebrew speaker
Either way, Levana Acand sounds great alternatively you could also spell her name as Levanah & Levanna

Levana is good! I love Liana, Aleah, Lacey, and Luana as well. I don’t think any of your name options are bad, though!
Is there any particular reason you want a name with an "L", "A" or "U"? It really limits your choices quite considerably.
If the surname begins with a "A", I wouldn't choose a name ending in an "A" so that would eliminate all but Lacey and Lydie. However, I don't find either name "mysterious".
Have you considered Lunette Arcand? Her nickname could be Lune. I think the full name and nickname have a mysterious air.
If you don't find a "moon" name with those three letters that doesn't feel quite right, I would advise you to widen your search to other letters of the alphabet.

I like Levana. I also like Leida, and Lacey. You could also consider Amaris(latin for for child of the moon) which could lead to a nickname like Amy or Maris and also perhaps to puns with the word amorous. Maybe Lucine/Lucina for the Roman moon goddess. Ulyana is a name that can mean moonlight in some Slavic languages. Aylin and Aysel mean moon in Turkish. You could also consider a constellation name such as Lyra, Ara, or Ursa, maybe. Happy writing!
I like all of the names listed better than Levana. My favorites are...
Lacey
Leida
Liana
Luana
