Carla or Clara?
Which one?

Replies

Clara. It's more elegant, pretty, and timeless. Carla is not elegant at all and tied to a specific age.
Carla as more bite to it. More sass. I think of Cheers. Clara is older and a bit more timeless. Carla is more limited to mid 20th century
Carla is a gorgeous name, but I really like Clara.
Both are nice but give fairly different vibes, Carla is elegant and no-nonsense, Clara is more feminine and frilly.
I like Carla. I've been hearing too much of Clara.
I like Clara better, mostly because Carla falls into the trap of "just a guys name, but with -a at the end". I also feel that Clara is currently far more fashionable and generally sounds better. Carla has a bit of an ugly sound. It's interesting how just a slight rearrangement of the letters makes the two names so different.
Clara, mainly because Carla is dated right now and seems ordinary / mediocre, while Clara hasn't been used much for a while so it seems youthful and full of potential again.Clara is more like Sarah than like Carla, to me. Bright and assertive in a feminine way.
I sort of expect her to be first born, valedictorian, band nerd, sorority sister, white-collar, that sort of thingCarla has a prettier sound and seems to have a more breezy and fun, kind and gentle feminine character.
It seems more like Nora or Layla than like Clara or Sarah.

Carla, definitely. I really don't like Clara, it feels so frumpy, housekeeper-ish. I'm not a huge fan of Carla but I do like Carly.
Interesting, Carla is frumpier and more evocative of a housekeeper for me.
Clara, no contest.
Carla, I can never figure out how to pronounce Clara
Clara is sweet.Carla is dated.
Definitely Clara, provided it doesn't rhyme with Sarah. Carla is a non-starter.
