Willa Jayde
Just found out the name my partner's brother and sister-in-law chose for their baby due in September. Thoughts?

I love it. I think the name Willa is lovely and Jayde seems to go well with it. I’d have used the Jade spelling though.

I like Willa Jade but not Willa Jayde, Jayde feels like an awkward feminization of Jayden.
I think it's cute, but I would really have preferred Jade to Jayde. Spelling aside, I don't think Jade / Jayde matches the cutesy vibe of Willa that much. I don't think it's too big of a deal because it's a pretty common middle name, and you can find it stamped on the end of pretty much any girls' first name. Some other basic, one syllable middle names I think would fit more would be Rose, Mae, Jean or Jane, but that's just my opinion.
As a William "Will," I can totally appreciate the name Willa. In fact, I like it much more than the name Willow. Also, it reminds me of a childhood television show, Willa's Wild Life...I loved that show. As for Jayde, I'd prefer Jada as a name (though, it may not flow with Willa) or Jade.
Sounds like another of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith's kids.I like Willa. Jade in general I strongly dislike, but the Jayda spelling is horrible.
Willa Jayde is actually really pretty. I say "actually" because I don't usually like Willa (although it has been growing on me, but I prefer Willow). However, Willow Jayde and Willow Jade are a little too tacky with the double trendy word names. Willa Jayde is lighter and easier to say and conjures pleasant imagery. I would prefer Willa Jade, though. It looks tidier, and there's no sense in adding a y to a word name like Jade - unless you're surrounded by French and trying to avoid the ZHAHD pronunciation, but I don't expect that to be the case here.
I didn't even think about Will and Jada. I honestly don't care.I don't like Willa but it flows well with Jayde. I love the original spelling Jade. Overall, it's a dependable MN if the first name is not "good enough" on its own. I love Willow, though, and I like Jaden! Funny huh?

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett called; they want their theme back.
I don't really like either name, but it's solid and inoffensive.
Maybe they'll change their minds. I was convinced my daughter was going to be Lucy, but she wasn't. Willa is all right. I prefer Jane to Jade, and most things to Jayde. What that y is doing there, I can't imagine; but in a mn it hardly matters.
Willa's pretty; Jayde's execrable.
... Did anybody else read this name and immediately think of Will Smith & Jada Pinkett Smith? Maybe my mind is just weird, but that's the first place it went. That aside, there's nothing wrong with Willa (though I prefer Willow), but I dislike the Jayde spelling. Jade is a real thing (a stone), and I think the word should be spelled correctly.
Not my thing.
Don't really like it, Jayde is ok, I prefer Jade
