Re: What's the most iconic name you've encountered, be it from history, literature, or pop culture?
I'm not sure I understand. Do you mean names that are so related to a specific celebrity, that it is now impossible to associated it with someone else? At least to me, that is what iconic means. Because let's face it, I love Paul McCartney, but Paul is pretty common. I don't necesseraly associate the name with him at first thought. But if we take for example... Beyoncé (which is part of her given name actually. Her parents named her Beyoncé Giselle Knowles at birth), well Beyoncé can only be associated with Queen B. No one else. Here are some others:Rihanna (it's her middle name)
Avril (Lavigne)
Zendaya (it's her given name)
Shakira (also her first name)
Madonna (same!)
Orlando (Bloom)
Winona (Rider)
Elvis (Presley)
Denzel (Washington)
Barack (Obama)
RuPaul!
Keanu (Reeves)
Usher (full name Usher Raymond IV)
Oprah (even though she was called Orpah at birth, still thing the variant Oprah can onl be associated with her)Not saying I love all these people, but they sure are iconic.Don't hesitate to rate my different PNLs: http://www.behindthename.com/pnl/246179
