Estee and Esther - wdyt?
I used to dislike Esther but it has grown on me, Estee is cute. I read _Unorthodox: The Scandalous Rejection of My Hasidic Roots_ and how I began to like it.

I love the way Esther sounds, not *as* keen on how it looks. I think the "sth" part rubs me the wrong way. But I like it; it was the legal first name of a poster here who passed away, and I miss her a lot. She hated it, but it still makes me think of her, so I love it for that. Esther has a really nice quality of being both soft and gentle as well as crisp and sparkling.
Estee is elegant, makes me think of the makeup/beauty product line that I remember my mom and grandma using, Estée Lauder. That stuff, and the name, always seemed so glam and grown up.

I like Esther but strongly prefer Hester, which is more mysterious. Estee is cute as a nickname.
Esther is just OK; certainly better than Hester, but too biblical for me. I've only met one Esther, and she is very nice. Estee is too cosmetic.
