Re: Brand Names As Baby Names
in reply to a message by EsmeLily
I love this question! It's an interesting topic for discussion. :) Sephora and Zulily are stunning names, and Sephora is one I would seriously consider using! I think Estee and Maybelline are also really good ones. I don't really interpret Magnolia as a brand name because my first thought is the flower.
Other good brand names for names:
Automotive: Aston, Audi, Camry, Lexus, Mazda, Polaris
Fashion/beauty: Aritzia, Avon, Brioni, Canali, Cavalli, Loreal, Madden, Nivea, Rexona, Ziana
Medicine: Aranelle, Brisdelle, Celexa, Januvia, Jolivette, Jolessa, Lessina, Marlissa, Senna, Stelara, Trulicity, Zetia (some of these actually sound MORE like baby names than brand names)
Consumables: Dasani (I typoed as Dasania at first and that's even better), Fanta, Godiva

Rainya,
I agree about Magnolia. I automatically think of the flower and it's exactly the name my cousin chose for her youngest daughter in honor of the flower and how "southern" it felt in honor of our grandmother who was a true Southern Belle.

I definitely agree about Ziana (though, I know of two women named Ziana!), Marlissa, Celexa (though...haha...I actually TAKE that 😅), Stelara, Nivea, Aritzia, and Mazda. It's a shame for me that some of these are highly associated with their brands. Also, honorable (unrelated to your list) mention that I'd actually use: Wendy and Alexa.
