I like both, but prefer Selene because of its etymology, history, spelling and usage. The Spanish pronunciation coincides with the Greek one, so that's how I pronounce it.
1. Selene, it looks nicer and it's more clearly "moon"
2. I usually pronounce it seh-LEEN but I'll say seh-leh-neh if I'm trying to be more accurate to Greek
I prefer Celine. I've always thought they were pronounced the same.
I pronounce them differently: Selene has three syllables (emphasis on the second), whereas Celine had two.I prefer Celine but like both.
I prefer the look of Celine; I enjoy how every letter is different (though, Selene is also very, very beautiful!). I'd pronounce Selene as "Suh-LEEN".
Selene. It looks softer and more elegant to me. I would instinctively pronounce it suh-LEEN.
Celine. There’s less confusion over pronunciation and I don’t like the 3 e’s in Selene. Celine is brighter, Selene is darker.
Hi!I like both.
Being Italian Selene is pronounced "as in Ancient Greek" (actually nobody knows it but based on Modern Greek would be ok). So Selene is immediately seh-LEH-neh to me.I like Céline (as in French) because of its elegant sound and look and I like its link with Céline Dion. Two great names. I added both to my PNL years ago.

Selene
Celine is too Celine Dion, Selene is Ancient and glorious. Don't get me wrong I like Celine Dion, but that's the only Celine I can think of.
