I like it a lot. I had a friend named Marnie growing up so it has always felt familiar and friendly to me.

I think it's gorgeous as a standalone; I'm surprised that it's not common where I am (fits in with trends).

I've got no associations with it at all. What could it be short for - Marion, perhaps? I'm imagining a tall, middle-aged woman, an office worker, who insists on being known as Marnie though it doesn't suit her at all.

I love it though I think that is because of Halloweentown. I've always loved those movies. I think it can stand alone and would love to see it on a kid today.

I don't like the sound. As a standalone name, it sounds a bit childish but not unbelievable on a growing person. It is not my kind of vintage name. A child named Marnie? I think of an old photo of an innocent blonde girl with pigtails and blue ribbons.

I think it has a great balance of sweetness and spunk and I can imagine a little blonde girl with these personality traits.

It reminds me of the Alfred Hitchcock film of the same name starring Tippi Hedren and Sean Connery.

My neighbor's name, she's in her 30s (?) A supermom type. It's a stand alone, yeah no problem seeing it today. Find it rather cute.

I've never liked Marnie, I find it harsh but juvenile at the same time.
I think it would be best if it was just a nickname. As a nickname, I wouldn't hate it.
I could see it on a kid today.
I would picture it on a little girl with short-ish hair and wears, as small children do, casual clothes with a bunch of random colours and patterns. Not a sad beige kid.

Very cute. My doctor is named Marnie and she's the best doctor in the entire world, probably.

I could easily see it on a kid. It's a standalone name to me. It feels intelligent and scrappy. An Encyclopedia Brown type, who knows everything and wears jean overalls and gets into schoolyard brawls because she's got a firm sense of right and wrong.

When I think Marnie, I think magic and mystery in a lambent environment, perhaps because of When Marnie Was There (beautiful movie, by the way.) I could definitely see it on a child today. It could be a nickname or it could stand on its own.

I know a Marnie. She's college-age like me.

It's a lovely standalone name. I can see it today. I know a few and all lovely people
