Help-Elle vs. -Ella
For each pair, choose whether you prefer the -elle or -ella ending:

Isabelle v Isabella - Neither. Isabel is better than both. Isabella seems too frilly and Isabelle seems kr8tiv though I know it’s a common spelling.
Arielle - like this better but I also prefer Ariel.
Gabriella - High school musical on my mind lol.
Mirabella - seems more true to the meaning of the name.
Rosella - Roselle seems incomplete.
Belle - much prefer this to Bella which seems like a dog name.
Estelle - all the sophistication and allure is in two syllables. Nothing is added with the extra a on the end.
Aubrielle- a slight favorite. I don’t like either.
Giselle - much more impacting and memorable with two syllables.
Danielle & Daniella - one of the few names I like equally. Love both names. But prefer Daniela if it does have the a at the end.
Arielle - like this better but I also prefer Ariel.

I don't like either of these, both are too cutesy, but I don't mind Gabriel on a boy. Gabrielle is just sloppy and annoying, though.
4. Mirabelle
This name is really pretty. I like whatever starts with Mira, I realize. Mirabella is just a bit excessive with too many sounds.
5. Roselle
I like both, but if I had to name a child one of them, I'd choose this one. I don't like how old-fashioned it sounds but Rosella is too Cinderella's sisters-ish (yes, I know I make a lot of Disney references).
6. Bella
This name is prettier and a plus is that it works on all species (human, dog, cat, etc.)
7. Estella
I love both, so this is just what I decided. No reason.
8. Aubrielle
I've never heard of these names (well, Aubrey, but that's it) so I won't for the one that stands out less.
9. Giselle
I know a girl with this name. She's pretty nice and it fits her well. Gisella just wouldn't.
10. Daniella
Danielle seems too strict and Gen-X. Daniella is free-er, but I dislike the nickname "Dani" for both.
Also my name is Ella and I would hate if it were "Elle" but it's different when it's an ending.

-elle across the board, never been a fan of the -ella sound
I'm not an -elle fancier, but sometimes it's unavoidable.

I prefer the *elle version for all of them except Rosella and Daniella, though I'd rather Daniela.
Ariella, Aubriella, Gabriella, and Gisella are the other *ella ones that I'm most ambivalent about (and again, would prefer one L). I'd also prefer to see Isabel or Isobel rather than Isabelle.
