Benaiah: Silly goofy. Screams influencer parents. Reminds me of the influencers with a child named Hannahniah. I know Benaiah's a real name but it's just so unnecessary. Benjamin's so much better.Devin: This spelling reminds me of deviled eggs. I kind of like Devon. Youthful feel, I put it in the same subcategory as Ryan and Tyler. Nice enough. I kind of get d-bag vibes tbh.Emmett: It's alright. Leaning towards good. Kind of empty-brained aura to me for some reason.Tyson: Mike Tyson! The memes ruined it for me.Annalise: Sweet. Maybe a bit too subdued. I do like Anna. I have Annelie on my main list. Never sure wether I prefer Annalise or Anneliese spelling wise.Claribel: Moo moo dairy cow but still very pretty and sweet.Elysia: Pronunciation is too confusing. Whichever one you like, I'm sure there's an easier spelling out there.Nairobi: Don't like the sound of it. Awkward and clunky.
Which alternate spelling would you propose if I like the i-LEE-zhah pronunciation?
Benaiah - this name confuses me so much. At first glance it looks like a mishmash of Bible names. Come to find out it’s a Bible name in its own right, just veryyy obscure. Pass.Devin - least favorite spelling of this name but I think more people should use it. It ages well and sounds sophisticated to me.Emmett - Another sophisticated, old money sounding name. Love.Tyson- chicken nuggetsAnnalise- German spelling is better. However it’s the name of Barbie in Princess and the Pauper and gives me the prettiest princess vibes of a girl who is smart and brave.Claribel - claribel cow. Also auto corrects to clarinet.Elysia - instantly reminds me of Elysium, the Greek version of heaven. Lovely.Nairobi - cringe if you’re not Kenyan. Otherwise a regal and stunning name.
I forgot about Barbie Annalise. Makes me like this name more. And your Elysium comment made me like Elysia a bit too. Also absolutely love that all you had to say about Tyson was "chicken nuggets"
The Barbie movie actually spells it Anneliese!
Whoa, how did I not know Anneliese was the name of the Barbie character??
Yes! I’m pregnant with a girl and it is one of the two names I’m trying to decide between, mostly because of Barbie (;
Wow, I just read the summary of the movie, and I totally forgot her cat is named Serafina! This movie is full of great names! I wish I could watch it again!Anneliese is a great name (and I just added it to my list because of this movie, LOL).
Benaiah sounds like Benjamin but if you wanted it to sound even more christian. Also not a fan of the triple vowels. I really hate this name, but also I dislike B names in general so I'm biased.
Devin's a weird one. It's the kind of name I'd use for a character that's supposed to be kind of annoying. I don't hate it but not my preferred kind of name.
Emmett feels almost comically childish. I couldn't imagine an adult with this name. Also I'm pretty sure it's the name of the main character from the Lego Movie? Either way, I'd go for Elliott instead.
Tyson is fine. Reminds me of Mike Tyson. Whether or not that association is a good or bad thing is up to you. Generally I'd prefer Taylor.
Annalise I like... Kind of. I'm not a fan of "Anna" names, but this one isn't too bad. If somebody is dead set on Anna this is probably the best option.
Claribel reminds me of Clarinet. I'd probably like the name if it didn't have that association.
Elysia is very whimsical. Like something I'd name a fairy princess. Not that that's a bad thing, I just couldn't imagine an actual human with that name.
Nairobi sounds like "Nair". I really like the meaning though. Pretty unfortunate.
Ahhh, I'm not Christian so Benaiah is definitely off my list, LOL.
Benaiah- If Ben was super religious. also sounds like bread to me? or beignet
Devin- Sounds like a kid throwing a tantrum at toys r us
Emmett- Pleasantly soft but still masculine
Tyson- sounds like a kids half dinosaur half man action figure
Annalise- Anna but interesting
Claribel- like a creepy doll that follows you around or a dairy cow
Elysia - kinda basic sounding and will 100% get misspelled
Nairobi- like the hair removal cream x robot?

Benaiah nice, good nn and goes with all the other iah names
Don't like the other boys namesAnnalise is pretty, don't like the others Claribel cow, Nairobi city, prefer Alyssa, Elyse or Alice
I think that Benaiah is nice and unique, so I love that. Devin also sounds cool and stately, a very handsome boy's name. Emmett and Tyson aren't dreadful, but only alright, in my opinion; I wouldn't use either name.Annalise is pretty, but my favorite spelling is Annelise; it just appears a lot nicer, in my opinion. Claribel is a beautiful name, reminding me of a flower. I really enjoy the sound and look of Elysia; this is my favorite name on the list. Nairobi is interesting, but it's not really my cup of tea.
