Team Lily Isabella

I know that people are sick to death of both names, but I find Lily Isabella beautiful. Emilia is a gorgeous name, and I love Milly with a passion, though. However, Emilia Isabella doesn't do anything for me. I think Emilia needs a different middle name option.

Emilia Isabella has less of a run-on sound. Emilia also sounds more substantial than Lily, albeit I love both of them.

I much prefer Emilia to Lily, because it isn't as popular. As for the middle name idea, I have to agree with the others; the "l sounds" run together, making it a mouthful. I actually much prefer Isabella to both Emilia and Lily, also.

I love Emilia & Lily. Leah is ok. Not a fan of Mia.

Emilia Isabella is quite a mouthful and almost over-the-top, especially since both end in a. Pretty and feminine though and fn and mn don’t get used often together. I like that it has more nickname options. I prefer Millie to Lily.
I’d go for Lily Isabella, it’s more practical.

If it was my daughter, I'd go for Isobel Emily.

Isabella first choice then Lily

I think Emilia Isabella is the prettier option. It's regal but modern. However, Rainya is right -- the full name is more important than the nickname. She may want to use her full name rather than a nickname later in life, and it will always be what legally identifies her on all forms. If you only want her to have a short nickname-like name, then give her one, like Leah or Mia. It doesn't need to be part of a longer name, as they both are established on their own.

I agree that Emilia Isabella doesn't work, but Lily Isabella is good.

Lily doesn't need a nickname but she could go by Lil. Emilia could be Em, Emi/Emmy, Lia. (I think Millie, Leah, or Elle would be too much of a stretch). People can also pick nicknames from their middle names, so that would include Izzy, Isa, Bella, Bell

If the middle name is going to be Isabella, I'd go with Lily. Emilia Isabella is just wayyyy too many syllables. Also, you shouldn't choose names based on their nicknames. Choose the full name you like best!
