Cian
I know Cian is pronounced like Kian, but I was looking at it and thought it looked like a spelling for Sean, or Shawn. Kind of looks like it. WDYT?

I love the sound of Cian and Ciaran and I also like these Irish spellings. Unfortunately, they're not well enough known for people to pronounce correctly all of the time in the US. Still, if Sean can catch on (Remember how people use to spell it Shawn and Shaun?), then Cian can as well.

I'd mispronounce Cian as Cyan (like the color), but certainly not Sean. Kian would be my second guess, just b/c I'm used to a soft c preceding an i or y. Cian is pronounced KEE-an, just like Cillian is KILL-ee-an and Ciaran is KEER-an. I myself steer away from the C spellings of these names, though, because of the extreme likelihood of being mispronounced in the U.S. Apparently.

I don't think anyone would prn it like Sean if they saw it. I would stick with KEE-an, or SHE-an too.

No! not Sean or Shawn. I would pronounce it either (KEY-an), or (SH-ian)
