Millicent or Mildred?
Millicent for me. Mildred is harsher.

i prefer millicent, but i think mildred gets too bad a rap. it *does* sound harsh, but i don't think it's impossible to pull off
Mildred reminds me of mildew and I can't unhear it. It's also hopelessly dated.
So, Millicent.
I like Millicent, anyway. It's very bright and cheerful. I was first introduced to the name when a friend of mine played a character named Millicent in a play, and it was my favorite long form of Millie / Milly for a while. Maybe it still is, I haven't thought about it.
Milly and Millie are adorable.

I much prefer Millicent to Mildred.
Millicent reminds me of the words "innocent", "magnificent" and "million". I think it has a vintage charm with an underlying sweetness. Bonus: The nickname Millie is adorable.
The first syllable of Mildred is appealing but the second syllable is unattractive (it's close to "dread") and ruins the sound of the name.

I like the name Millicent. I think it's beautiful and elegant. Mildred is just ugly.
I dislike them about equally.
I don't like either, agree Mildred is harsh, both old fashioned
I love both but prefer Millicent. I'm newly fond of Mitzi as a nickname for it.
