Jane is Pretty and classical. A partner would have to make a real case of it for me to consider using it on a daughter as-is but I would consider it paired with a double. But only if Jane was the first name instead of the second name. (Mary-Jane just just feels too cutesy and trite to me for instance.
When I was younger I was really into Jane Margaret for a while. Jane Margaret said in full. To me it makes me think of the late middle ages / Tudor era. A noble woman or a courtier.
