Thoughts on a name
What are your thoughts on the name Bethia / Bethiah? It’s a variant of the Biblical name Bithiah. I think it’s really pretty, so wondering what other opinions are? And which spelling do you prefer?

Beth-ee-uh and beth-IE-uh are both pretty pronunciations but I wouldn't use it. I suppose Bethia is the better spelling if I had to choose - especially if its for a girl. I would not name a boy Bethiah because it contains "Beth", but I do think it sounds unisex.
My guess, based on Maria and Sophia, is that it started out pronounced bethEYEa and is now tending towards bethEEa.
I say Beth-ee-ah, I believe that’s the correct pronunciation.
It reminds me of the last name Bethea pronounced Ba - Thay - there's not an "a" sound at the end. It may be an altered version of the last name Bethel according to Ancestry.com. Never thought of Bethea as a first name but I like it. Bethia is interesting. Not sure how to pronounce it.
I believe Bethia is pronounced Beth-ee-ah.
Thanks! Nice alternative to Elizabeth or Bethany
I like it as a different yet still familiar option instead of Bethany.
Don't really like it
Not a fan of the name, but the Bethia spelling is much better.
Reminds me of Bertha. Not very pretty.
I don't find the pronunciation attractive. I'd prefer Bethan, or even Bethany.
How are you pronouncing it?
I like Bethia, found it years ago and put it on a list and there it sits.
