Hailey & Hayley (and other variations)
I recently made a poll (https://www.behindthename.com/polls/412422) asking people which spelling they preferred - Hailey or Hayley - as as well as where they're from. While I've seen Hayley in the U.S., Hailey definitely seems to be the preferred spelling here and in Canada, whereas other places prefer the "original." I'm going back and forth between these two. Then there's the simplified Haley, which *used* to be the most popular spelling in the U.S.; but whenever I read it I think of Haley Joel Osment, so it almost looks masculine to me. There are other variants, like Hailee - which might take off because of Hailee Steinfeld - but I think most of them look rather cutesy, even juvenile, so I'm not fond. (E.g.: Hailie looks like it's hailing, Haleigh looks like it should be pronounced "Hallie," then Hayleigh has too many letters, Haylee looks like "Hey Lee!" and finally Haylie is forever a little girl.)Anyway, what do you think of Hailey/Hayley? Which is your favorite spelling?Edit: I added a link to the poll.***Please rate my personal name lists:www.behindthename.com/pnl/69381
