Chuck
With King Charles being in the media what do you think of Chuck?

Replies

I know of someone who calls her daughter Charlotte by the name Chuck. That's funny and weird, so it's cool, but normally it does feel like an "entitled jerk" name that I instinctively recoil from.
It reminds me of a group of farmers sitting and drinking coffee, stained hands, ratty caps. It also reminds me of 1960s golden boys who were jerks and couldn't take no for an answer - and many of those farmers were like that once. Many weren't but enough were to poison the name.
It’s terrible.
I don't care that much for the name Chuck, but I don't detest it; I only have a dulling association, which alters my likings. I prefer the name Charles in full, without a nickname.
Chuck to me is chuck up
Still ties to the television series of the same name for me, so a grudging appeal, I guess.
It suits.

Don’t like Charles, and Chuck even less. I don’t mind Chay.
Don't like it at all.
I don't really like it. I'm not interested in Charles either.
