Alexander
1. Alexander ( I do prefer Aleksander spelling )
2. Sebastian
3. Nathaniel
I actually like all 3 names but this is how I would rank them.

I’d opt for Sebastian because it hasn’t lost its poncey flair despite being so popular. The others are bland and even whiny to me.
Alexander > Nathaniel > Sebastian
Nathaniel, Sebastian, Alexander
Nathaniel, sounds familiar enough but is not common. It sounds very friendly too.
Sebastian, I really like but it has become too popular unfortunately. I also hate the nickname Seb!
I like Alexander, but the nickname Alex is inevitable. Lex is a cool nickname though. Alexander is also my nephew’s middle name, chooses for Alexander the Great.

As it's one of my favorite names, I'm definitely voting for Sebastian; it's handsome, uncommon, and reminds me of a prince.
Unfortunately Sebastian is not uncommon anymore. It’s ranked #13 in the USA, #20 in the Australia and #38 in the UK :(
Anyone know why it has suddenly become so popular?

Oh, I honestly had no idea! It's still seems to be very uncommon where I am, however; I've only ever met two, many years apart. I'm not very sure why it became popular all of a sudden. Maybe because of the modern, live-action version of "The Little Mermaid"?
