Re: Rate my girl names list

Favourites that I would use IRL: Alice*, Beatrice***, Eva*, Felicity, Joy, Juliet, Lucy, Mary***, Susannah*
* = family name; ** = already used IRL
Least favourite: Abigail (OK if it shortens to Gail, but it doesn't), Cora (sound of a crow), Evangeline (inconveniently long; way too religious, as are Faith, Grace and Hope), Faith, Grace, Hannah (Ann(e) is so much neater and tidier), Hep(h)zibah (sounds like an extinct animal), Hope, Ivy (very annouying plant, don't like the I; don't like it in Ida either, but I can just about face Ida), Margo (spelling; prefer Margaret), Pearl (unpleasing vowel sound; don't like jewel names), Primrose, Violet (two flower names that just don't sound attractive at all.)
Alice Felicity
Beatrice Mary
Eva Ruth
Lucy Joy
Susannah May
Juliet Clare
Pretty mainstream in general. I'd give it a 6.
