I like Clifford (nn Cliff), Leander (nn Lee), Irving, Chester (nn Chet), Stanley (nn Stan), and Emil. Rosecoe (Roscoe, nn Ross) and Morris (nn Mo/Morrie) are my favourites. For some reason I think that most of these would make excellent dog, cat or character names : Grover, Sherwood (nn Woody), Winston, Clyde, Wallace (nn Wally), Wilbur, Maurice, Gilbert, Sylvester, Rudolph, Otis, Vernon The rest I don't much care for
I don't find Levi surprising, a very common biblical name of the timeI like Wilbur and Gilbert
