Dogs names don't have to be totally different from cat names (Zeus and Pluto are a couple classic ones, for example, and I can easily see something like Odin, Thor, Nike as a dog name). I don't necessarily think they have to be short either, just distinctive or easy to call/respond to. I worked with a bunch of maremmas that had names like Gladiola, Fig Cookie, Brando, Zen...and the 1st two weren't problematically long.
My favorites are Gilbert and Lemon.
Not having been around her (and though I don't think you need to change it), the 1st thing I thought of as an alternative name for Lemon was Zita.
Wilfred reminds me of that weird Elijah Wood show in which a person pretends to be a dog? Or is a dog? Named Wilfred.
I'd pick Hank over Percy but that's mainly to set it apart from Clemmy, Frankie, Ferdy, but then, it sounds a bit like Frankie. What about, idk, Hendrix? Basil? Horatio? Ludovic? Gawain? Jacques? Earnest? Prospero? Mars? Johan? Duncan? Roland? Rodrigo? Gerard? Wulfric? Waldo? Vivaldi?

Ooh Gladiola is gorgeous for a dog! And I know your right, dog & cat names don’t have to be different, it’s just in my head lol.
The meaning of Zita is so perfect
