The only (recent) name trend that I have any sort of dislike for is the creative/inventive spellings. I'm biased since I got stuck with a "creatively" spelled name myself. Depending on the name in question, there are some that are ok, but overall I just think they don't look very good and the majority of the names that are getting these creative spellings are ones I already think are pretty boring/basic. So they just sound like basic names and look pretty bad.
I actually love "boy" names on girls, and I'm happy to see that becoming more and more popular. I only wish we saw more "girl" names on boys. I would love to see all names just be gender neutral and people stop putting so much value on making sure a literal baby has an "appropriately" gendered name.
